The case for a custom monogram on your business card
You don't need a logo. You probably need a mark.
A monogram is the small, dignified cousin of the logo. It works on a card. It works on a stamp. It works embossed into a folder lid. It survives being made very small, which most logos don’t.
If you’re a freelancer, a small studio, a doctor, an architect, or anyone whose name is the brand — you probably don’t need a logo. You need a mark. Two or three letters, drawn well, that you can use everywhere for the next twenty years.
Good monograms tend to share a few traits: they’re built from one weight of stroke, they have one moment of cleverness (and only one), and they look as good in foil as they do in ink. We design them as a flat-fee add-on to any business card order. Ask us about it.
